Stanford hosted this annual kick start to the outdoor track and field season March 29-30 at Cobb Track and Angell Field. Thousands of athletes from around the nation competed at the high school, collegiate and elite level.

Host school University of Oregon swept the men's and women's titles at this inaugural Pac-12 championship, held at historic Hayward Field, May 12-13.

2012 Big Dinghy Regatta Pursuit Race

Held Sunday, April 15 at Richmond Yacht Club, this annual dinghy pursuit race sent 37 boats of all stripes around Red Rock and Southhampton Schoals. An additional dozen boats raced the short course inside.

2012 Big Meet

For the second-consecutive season, the Cardinal track and field teams swept the Big Meet, this time in Berkeley. The Stanford men won for the sixth-consecutive time, this time by a score of 106-57. The Cardinal women won for the second-straight season, winning convincingly, 122-41.

The Bay Area outdoor track and field season got underway under perfect conditions March 3 at Edwards Stadium, Berkeley, CA. Cal, Stanford, USF and Fresno State competed along with a smattering of post-collegiate elites.

The USATF Championships were held February 25-26 at the Convention Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The mile-high thin air proved favorable to jumpers and sprinters as many leading marks were set including Chaunte Lowe's 6-7 1/2 American record in the high jump.

November 26, once again, conditions were perfect in Woodward Park, Fresno, for this classic Thanksgiving weekend romp in the woods.

April 9, quarterback Andrew Luck completed 16 of 22 passes for 165 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Cardinal to a 42-3 victory over the White in Stanford's annual spring game played on Saturday before an estimated crowd of 6,800 at San Francisco's Kezar Stadium.

In the 116th running of the Big Meet, Stanford took the men's meet for the fourth year in a row. On the women's side, the Cardinal and California took an exciting meet all the way to the 4x400 meters, before the Golden Bears clinched the meet by winning that final event, breaking Stanford's 10 year win streak.

This meet, held in Glasgow, Scotland January 30, 2010 featured five teams from the United Kingdom, United States, Sweden, Germany and a Commonwealth team. The UK edged to US, captained by Lolo Jones, 63-60.
